2009 Awards Program Form

The program is divided into two primary divisions: those that show and those that don’t.  If you enjoy showing, whether it is a PFHA sanctioned show or a fun show, there is a division for you.  The show division is divided into the show categories: Bella Forma, Performance & Fino, Pleasure and Specialty.  There is also a Rookie category for the rider that has competed in 2 or fewer shows.

The “other” division includes Competitive Trail Riding, Endurance Races, Breed Ambassador, Youth and Owner.  The first two categories are easy.  Points are awarded for CTR or Endurance races entered.

The Breed Ambassador category includes parades, horse expos, trail rides, clinics and other activities that showcase the breed.  The owner and youth category are awarded to the person, not the horse.

To encourage our Youth to participate, they can earn points for every qualifying activity they participate in, whether it is show or non-show category.

The owner category is to reward individuals who work hard to support GWPFHA activities.  In this category, you can earn points if you host an activity, write an article, or volunteer at a GW sanctioned activity.

After determining the category you are most interested in entering, submit your nomination form along with $20 per category.  The youth category is only $15.

Points can only be awarded after the horse is nominated.  Each time you participate in a nominated activity, forward it to the Awards Committee.  It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure all information is accurate and report any inconsistencies.  It is also the responsibility of the individual to update this informaton monthly.

We want to hear from all of you!
